The new ALPHA takes the classic entry-level wing to the next level in terms of performance and passive safety. The more robust version of the ALPHA series is the ideal entry level wing and will continue to get you airborne safely and with great performance long after your finishing your license.
The ALPHA series stands out with its clear line setup and colour-coded risers and brake handles, making ground handling especially intuitive. The wing launches effortlessly and is exceptionally easy to fly, thanks to its balanced pitch and roll behaviour.
With features like extended brake travel, the ALPHA series offers exceptional safety margins. This allows you to gradually explore new manoeuvres and tackle challenges with ease. Thanks to its high turbulence absorption, you’ll enjoy a smooth and steady flight every time.
The responsive, dynamic handling combined with high passive safety makes flying pure fun. With the versatile ALPHA DLS, you can embark on Hike & Fly adventures and travel with confidence and ease.
TECHNOLOGY & FEATURES
The profile has state-of-the-art Air Scoop technology, offering higher maximum lift, which delays airflow separation. Progressive brake pressure provides a clear and noticeable warning as you approach the stall point.
The ALPHA risers have a "Easy Connect System", which helps the pilot hook in correctly by using a coloured marking system. This reduces the probability of the beginner connecting a twisted riser, or attaching the risers to the wrong carabiners. For maximum compatibility among ADVANCE products the same coloured markings are applied to all ADVANCE harness suspension points.

The ALPHA series is designed with Seamless Weight Ranges, offering even better sizing for lighter pilots. They enable a seamless transition from one wing size to the next, so that any pilot suits only one ideal take-off weight range. In this way, the ALPHA series guarantees the optimum balance of useful airspeed and climb performance in all flying conditions. Like its predecessor, the ALPHA series also has an extended weight range of up to 15 kg in each size.
Paramotor Risers
Its exceptional take off character and pronounced damping in all axes make the ALPHA Series ideally suited to paramotor flying. All sizes have DGAC paramotor certification. Paramotor risers with trimmers are available as an option, and the trimmers can be stowed away in the main carabiners for free flight.

FAQ
When developing the new ALPHA, we wanted to take into account the needs of flying schools and leisure pilots alike. The robust Classic version is ideal for first steps on the practice slope and first high flights. However, many beginners and leisure pilots prefer a lighter and more compact model for everyday flying, such as for hike & fly or when travelling. In addition, they often want a little more glide performance for their first cross-country flights than a classic beginner glider. With the robust Classic and the lightweight DLS (Durable Lightweight Structure) versions, we offer two options that are tailored to these different needs.
Yes, absolutely. Both versions are EN-A certified and have identical flight behaviour suitable for beginners. Depending on the size, the ALPHA DLS is up to 800 grams lighter than the Classic, but is still 100% suitable for everyday use.
In the 8th generation, we have retained the proven basic concept, but have also developed the product further in terms of the following factors.
Safety
The ALPHA series sets new standards of passive safety. A particularly low stall point, progressive steering forces and long brake ranges significantly increase the safety margin.
Performance
A new profile with optimised longitudinal pressure distribution and revised 3D shaping in the nose area noticeably increases performance. The improved pitch behaviour ensures a smooth and pleasant flying experience – especially in turbulent air.
Versatility
Thanks to the two versions, the ALPHA series is particularly versatile. From their very first wing, pilots can choose whether they prefer a more robust or a lighter, performance-oriented version.
The ALPHA has been setting the standard for beginner wings for years and is trusted by pilots and flying schools worldwide. Here you will find an overview of the key features for beginners that both versions of the ALPHA series offer.
Higher safety margin
Thanks to Air-Scoop technology, semi-circular cell openings and a new planform, the stall point is particularly low. The progressive braking characteristics give a clear warning of an approaching stall as the control pressure increases.
Easy handling
The Easy Connect System makes it easier to hook into the harness. A simple line layout ensures quick sorting. The canopy rises quickly during take-off, remains stable and does not tend to overshoot.
Self-stabilising flight behaviour
The ALPHA largely stabilises itself in flight. Even with strong steering impulses or steering errors, it builds very little energy and pendulum, and the wing quickly returns to a stable flight state.

The ALPHA series offers more than just suitability for training. Sophisticated technical features such as sliced diagonals reduce line consumption and thus improve performance. 3D shaping in the nose area ensures a smoother profile and greater efficiency. The direct handling and extended weight ranges make the ALPHA series a particularly efficient EN-A wing – ideal for use beyond training.
Yes, that's exactly what the series was developed for. Both models offer a high level of passive safety and performance. The direct handling also makes them attractive for advanced pilots. The DLS version offers ideal characteristics for first cross-country flights or hike & fly due to its lower weight and even higher performance.
DLS stands for Durable Lightweight Structure. Optimisation of the inner structure has resulted in a noticeable reduction in weight without compromising strength. The canopy is largely made of the same materials as the Classic version, with the exception of the less stressed lower surface, which is made of lightweight material. This ensures that the DLS remains durable and is suitable for everyday use.
Each size has an extended weight range of up to 15 kg. This has been specially designed for acro and freestyle-oriented pilots. With higher wing loading, the trim speed increases and the flight behaviour becomes more dynamic. The EN/LTF-A certification remains valid even in the extended range – proof of the high safety margins of the ALPHA series.
Yes, in addition to EN/LTF certification, all sizes of both ALPHA versions also have DGAC approval for paramotor operation. Details on use can be found in the manual appendix. We recommend special hybrid risers for flying with a paramotor.
